I feel like a real heel for lurking and never posting, but I guess I'm
just not ready.
I'm only posting now, because I have news of one of our members.
I am on another list that Nancy Lee is also on. We got this e-mail today
from one of her daughters. I figure, the more folks praying the better.
Please excuse me if I'm out of line by posting this but I thought you
guys should know:
"Hi,
Thank you for keeping my Mom in your prayers. Since so many people have
written to ask about her, I thought that I would just post to your list
and
tell you all about my Mom, and I also have a question.
My Mother suffered from a stroke 4 weeks ago on Saturday night. She was
at
home when it happened. It was the result of a blood clot in her brain.
My
Mother has had problems with blood clots since my little sister was born
10
years ago. Mom has been on blood thinners, but since when her blood
would
get thin, she would start bleeding internally where she had the
surgeries
done. So they backed off on her coumadin, and then her blood clotted and
she
had the stroke. She had a first stroke 4 years ago on May 1.
Mom was in the ICU for over 2 weeks, and then a week and a half ago,
they
moved her to a nursing home so that she would have round the clock care
and
could have rehabilitation to learn how to walk and talk better.
Then night before last she had what was called a cluster stroke, and is
now
back in the hospital. The doctors can't say what the damage is to her
brain
until she regains consciousness.
