There's no
wriggling out of it now; I have made a commitment!

Loads of cyber energy to you Tat and the rest of you cleaning.

Last night I finally ripped up most of the livingroom carpet!  We have tri-monthly major trash pickup days and I thought this would be the best time to get it out since my parents plan to come to visit before the next pickup.

Believe me that my Mom has a mental list of all the items she saw from the last time she was here.  I don't clean just for my Mom but you have to admit it kills two birds with one stone! (OK, maybe a little for my Mom, she isn't going to change so I might as well please her a little.)

Funny how the carpet came up easily but the pad is stuck to the floor where there were major spills.  I am leaving most of it down for later work and covering it with the area rugs I had in my shop.  A major cleaning of the floor will take several days and moving everything (and I mean everything) from the room since you have to use some major cleaner in order to prep concrete for painting. (Not to mention getting all that stuck carpet pad off.)

We also got the couches from the friend who is selling them to us.  Of course we had to move stuff to move them and then move the stuff back.

So DH and I are Major Sore today!

I get to go see middle DD in her Fiesta parade at school since we are in Fiesta time which is as big here as Mardi Gra in New Orleans!  They even get the day off school tomorrow which is great because I am going away this weekend to a Herb Conference HOWEVER, I am going to camp in my van.  Good thing I am a Girl Scout trained since it is going to be interesting.  I will have a friend's trailer to use for facilities but they have no space for guests.  I'll tell you how I fair.  Most food is provided as many people bring snacks and the whole thing is free, so I am willing to rough it to go.

Next 4 weeks are going to be rough as I go out of town, give a class, speech and camping, turn in our troop's financial report and of course I have to prepare for all of them!  Yikes!

So I won't be writing much for the next 4 or so days.

Have a great time everyone!
