I know just what you mean. Andrew (age 10) has taken this rather hard. He 
doesn't want to worry me by admitting that he's upset, but I can tell.

I finally decided to go ahead and get an alarm system installed, although I 
didn't really want to. I hate being forced into another expense and I really 
don't want to be bothered with an alarm system every time I come and go. 
However, it seems to be the best way to get some peace of mind for myself and 
the kids, so I'll go ahead with it. I agree though, that we'll probably never 
feel completely secure again.
