everything I have I think may come in useful one day.
Any tips!!!!!

If you haven't used those things in the past year at least, chances are you won't need them. Sometimes our way of living changes, and things that we once liked or used or thought we needed are no longer important.
One thing you might consider is the "box it up and date the box" method. Put the items you are considering getting rid of in a box and tape it up. Put a date on it and after 6 months - or a year get rid of the box if you haven't opened it to look for anything. If you do get something out, get rid of the items left in the box.
I can tell you that the more you get rid of, the stronger you will get - and the better at it. I've been decluttering for several years, and I'm much more ruthless than I used to be.
After going through a closet or cabinet and getting rid of a few things, there will be things that you suspect could go, but you're not quite sure. Next time you go through that same closet or cabinet, you may get rid of a few more items. I've been through most of my house several times at least and I realize that I could have decluttered most of those items the first time, because they are still unused.
It really does get easier - so hang in there!
