Ethiopian premier Meles Zenawi noted the long-standing historic ties
between the two countries, and various activities underway in order to
further bolster the cooperation between the two countries.

The two officials discussed ways to establish a business forum for the
two countries, with a view to boosting their economic relationship.

In a separate discussion with deputy prime minister and foreign
affairs minister, Hailemariam Desalegn, Margelov expressed Russia’s
readiness to contribute to efforts to maintain peace and stability in
neighbouring countries.
