The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Investment of Government of
Southern Sudan (GoSS), Akuei Deng, has said the second phase of
private sector investment development program will be launched next
week.

Addressing the press in Juba on Friday, Deng said that GoSS will
allocate US$ 2 million for the project in addition to the fund coming
from international development partners and International Finance
Corporation (IFC).

IFC private sector specialist, Catherine Masinde, said that the second
phase will include small and medium enterprise development as well as
access to finance.

GoSS has been working with IFC, a World Bank Group member, since 2005
to improve investment in Southern Sudan.
