United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Antonio
Guterres, said citizens from Sudan, Iraq, Somalia and other poor
countries are stranded in Libya and are in need of urgent assistance.
He urged governments to consider the needs of all vulnerable people
and not just their own citizens.

Guterres said more than 11 thousand people have crowded the Libyan
borders with Tunisia and Egypt.

International Organization for Migration estimates that about 1.5
million foreign workers from Africa and Asia are working in Libya.
UNHCR spokesperson, Melissa Fleming, says that thousands of these
people, who fear for their lives, can't leave Libya.
