The Warrap State Legislative Assembly resumes work today after a week
of closure since differences arose over impeachment of the state's
Minister of Finance. Warrap Governor, Nyandeng Malek Dielich, told
Radio Miraya that a team from the Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS),
headed by the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, which was tasked to
look in to the issue, managed to resolve the problems.

Nyandeng said the article in the interim state constitution under
which the Minister of Finance was summoned by the legislators does not
allow immediate impeachment. She said that there was a mistake in the
ruling.

Last week Warrap State legislative assembly voted in favor of
impeaching the minister finance over alleged financial
misappropriation.
