A twelve year old boy has been detained for over two weeks in Juba's
Central Prison for allegedly smoking and selling opium. The
administrator for inmates' affairs in the Prison, Gabriel Matur, said
that they will keep him for several days according to the warrant,
after which he will be handed over to police so that they can look
further into the case, or forward it to the courts for a ruling.

Speaking to Radio Miraya on Monday, the boy revealed that he had opium
in his pockets when police arrested him at the Hai Nyakama area. He
claimed that that opium was given to him by a man dressed like a
police officer.
