Lakes state committee mobilizes support for Abyei IDPs Thursday, 16 June 2011 18:33 Sudan >>> A Lakes state committee, formed for helping the Internally Displaced Persons from Abyei, has started mobilizing support for the IDPs. The Acting Chairperson of the committee, Zachariah Magot Ater, urged citizens in the state to contribute items like cooking utensils, clothes, food and money. He added that the state government has endorsed the idea and that all the ministries and other government institutions have made contributions.
