  *Dekha Ibrahim Abdi 1964-2011*
*
*
Dekha Ibrahim, Kenyan peace activist and teacher, died in Nairobi on July 14
after a car accident that also claimed the life of her husband. She was
buried on Laylatul Barakat, the night of blessing, the fourteenth day of
Shab'an. Dekha was a vital presence on the RVI Horn of Africa course from
its inception in 2008. RVI trustee Mohamed
Osman<http://t.ymlp31.com/uyyuagaushsakammyadawbh/click.php>writes:
"No-one who met Dekha will ever forget her. She was passionately and
wholeheartedly committed to peace building and convinced that change can be
achieved through dialogue. She operated with ease and diligence both at high
level meetings and at the grassroots, bridging the gap between state and
non-state actors."

Directors Mark Bradbury and Ken Menkhaus. Mark Bradbury, in the New
Internationalist <http://t.ymlp31.com/uyybakaushsakammyavawbh/click.php>,

Enough<http://t.ymlp31.com/uyyhaoaushsazammyafawbh/click.php> project,
describes how development policies have contributed to the famine.
