I've just installed jffnms because I like the look of what I've seen of the
example pages on the web.

However, I can't seem to get it to startup properly. I'm not really all that
great at PHP, so I'm shooting in the dark, but so far I have

1) Re-installed php from source code {as opposed to RPM}
2) Deleted and re-installed jffnms completely
3) Configured Apache as best I can.

I'm running Apache 1.3, and it's working for several other programs/web
pages, so I'm pretty sure the server is OK.

When I go into the setup web page located at

http://<server>/jffnms/admin/setup.php

I get the following

System Configuration
Operating System unix windows

However, this ONLY comes up after I hit the "stop" button on the browser -
if I do nothing, the page sits waiting for q long time {I've waited 30
minutes for response before stopping it} with no activity.

This reply states that "Register GLobals" is not set to on - when it is
quite plainly set properly in /etc/php.ini. It also states the sockets
module is not loaded - and I can't figure out why - as far as I can tell,
every directory which could possibly be related to php modules is in the
include path in /etc/php.ini.

Could anyone give some suggestions as to where I should look? System is SuSE
9.0, Apache 1.3, latest version of PHP downloaded from php.net and compilled
with the required modules {as far as I can tell}.
