manually

What I had to do was first disable port auto discovery (bugs me anyways
since I already know which ports I want to add):

Administration --> Internal Configuration --> Polling & Discovery -->
Interface Types --> TCP Ports and UDP Ports I unchecked "Autodiscovery
Enabled" and "Validate in Autodiscovery". Then make sure Manual Interface
Add is enabled.

Then I go to manual discovery for that host (takes about 1-3 seconds to
bring up the page with port scanning turned off) and then go ahead and add
my ports with the "Manual add" link.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
-Mike

Subject: [jffnms-users] Adding Interfaces (TCP-Ports, physical ...) manually

Hi all!

I have a small question: Is it possible to add interfaces manually to a host
(without manual discovery)?
E.g., I have server which I know, that it is running Port 25 (smtp). But at
the time I want to add it, it is down because of maintainance. But I want to
add it anyway.

I tried the "Add" command in the interfaces, but it always creates a "No
Interface Type" port ...

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Roman
