Johan,

I'll add that to my To Do List.
And regarding the Users, They are able to see they configuration because they have to be able to change their own password, but they will not be able to change any options not marked as "Editable" in the Profiles Options Menu.

ie. They can change the Events Refresh but not any "* Administration" Options.

Just saw it after i sent the message, sorry, I had a main interface
selected, and that was the reason, like you said. Perhaps some hints for
future releases :
1. I have some 200 customers to manage (combination users/customers with
customer filter) : perhaps good idea to put also users in alfabetical order
(not only customers, they are now ordered by id)
2. to provide some search possibilities (also in user-section)

ps : i don't know it is some bug but when I put in the profile-options of
user user_administration = no, i keep seeing that when I login as a certain
user on the top left side of the page, the name of the customer is being
viewed, with link to the properties of this user. I dont want the user to be
able to change his properties.

Johan,

Thats a DMII message, you have a Host set with a Designated Master
Interface(s).

If you remove that, it will go away, it has nothing to do with the

trigger,

but you could filter it in the trigger.

Hi Javier,

This seems to work. But apparently when I add it in a map, there is
somewhere some link that when the polling is failed i receive a mail.

(It

concerns a router which is down : other routers which are only in the
root-map which are down dont receive this mail message). I only want the
mail one time and not every 5 minutes. I looked into the event-types and
there was no indication to an event 'polling ....", neither in the

sla's.

Where can I find this ?
This is the mail message :
Hello Administrator:

Event: 2004-08-22 16:16:13 xxx xxx
Event: Polling Failed

Comment: Default Trigger

Johan,

Create a Map, put some interfaces in it (Using the Interface Editor

Bottom

Options). And then add a Profile Option to the user called 'Base Map'

and

as a

value put in the Map ID.

That's all.

As soon as I've time to look at the customer filter, I'll let the list

know what

I found.

Johan,

Sorry for the delay, I've been really busy this week.
It seems like a filter mischeck, we should check if a filter (Base Map

or

Customer Filter) is enabled before allowing to see any interface.

Is possible that I missed a check implemeting Customer Filter (that

was

one of

the last features I did for 0.7.8), so, let me check it again.

In the mean time, you could use a map, and use the Base MAP profile

option

to

filter the user permissions. That should work ok.

Javier,

This is an example of a user/customer, with profile to limit rights.

When I

i click on performance, I only receive the interface of the customer,

when I dont select an interface and click "view selected" i also

"view selected" has been clicked.

Greetings, Johan

Johan,

Theres nothing to fix, if you create a User, it will have access to

everything

if you don't add a Profile option to limit it.

And with Customers, it should only be able to see its interfaces. Or

nothing if

there are no interfaces with him as the customer.
