I tried blanking it and it just came back up with the same thing so I put
"none" in it.
It still is not able to do a manual discovery w/o port scan. I then went
into the config.ini and deleted "none" so that it would be blank and tried
again. Still no discovery.

No. I use to be able to get snmp response through it's vpn but I pugraded
the firmware on it and it will nolonger allow snmp access outside its
internal subnet. Also the VPN sometimes goes down and I would like to be
able to keep info on what is happening while the connection is down.

Are you saying that I need to discover the hosts interfaces from the gui
on the satellite server or automagic?
