Thank you for all the help in the past however at this point I believe it is beyond repair.....
I have attempted to update using line by line which failed in the same spot the previous attempts failed in and would go no further (If I bypass it it fails to connect)
I attempted to roll the patch out
after that I could no longer even log in to the web page... So I removed the entire installation and posted it from the back up I made prior to the upgrade attempt. This too failed in the upgrade and roll back and this I believe to be due to a problem with the backup
so now I have either a completely botched install or ... Is there any way to pull the router configuration and preferences and "migrate" it in to jffnms 7.9 or even roll it back to 7.7 or would this be chalked up to start over
I can include any of the configuration files you might need

Hi Scott,
You forgot the DB upgrade step, because the DB was not modified.
You could also look in the list archives of 3 months ago (when 0.7.8 was released).
