Javier, thx, i know it now :) silly me. This is what the problem was : most of the routers I monitor are dsl routers, with traffic on the atm-interface, BUT the ip comes on a dialer interface, which causes that on that part of the router (atm0)there is no peer-address discovered, and no traffic to see in the RTT and error-part. At the ethernet side, jffnms, takes automatically the ip +1 as peer -address, which is not always existing or pingable (for example customers who have blocked icmp on their firewall). This causes a packetloss of 95 % -99 %. So that was the problem, and now I know it :)
