Hi Johan,

To do this you will have to touch a lot of places.

And all your changes will be broken when you upgrade, so its a hard problem.

I can give you tips, but you should start reading code and tracing function
calls.

You will need to add your new field to the interface_list function in lib/api.interfaces.inc.php, and also add a new filter to the interfaces_filter function so when the menu_interfaces page calls the view_performance or adm_interfaces page it can understand the filter.

Also look for the reports_make_filter function, that function will take the value passed via URL from menu_interfaces, and generate an array of filters to be passed to interfaces_list (or jffnms->interfaces->get/get_all), and that will call interfaces_filter to generate a SQL filter to get only the records that have that specified value.

Hope that helps.

Javier

Javier,
I have a question. I added it in the sql database and you can see it in the webinterface : admin/hosts or when you add a host. I have added the field in menu_interface_list.php and adm/adm_interfaces.php. What I want is that i can see it when I do a search (for example, when you click on admin/interfaces or on view performance : now there are four fields in the interface selector : by customer, by map, by host, by type. Now i want also add a query on that new field. But what I see now, is that it is added but when i see the contents, i notice the hostnames_zones. Youknow how to fix this ? I added some screenshots :
Greetz,
Johan
