Javier,

I just tried running the cron job manually, as described.  Still no joy :-(

I know you're busy, but please don't give up on me... I'd really like to get
this working.  Any other ideas?

If everything else is correct, you may want to try running the cronjob
manually.

Like:

cd /opt/jffnms/engine/
php -q poller.php

And see what happens.
