Hi Javier,

Well, I guess that depends on which name/description you mean.  As
defined in jjfnms, the host is named APC1W, which matches the
user-editable System Identification field within the AP9606 card.  Looks
like the SNMP OID is upsBasicIdentName.0
(1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.1.1.2.0).  However, the non user-editable System
Name is SMART-UPS 2200 RM and that OID is upsBasicIdentModel.0
(1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.1.1.1.0)

As for manual discovery, the only discernable difference is that the
manual discovery also finds the following TCP ports as open: 23,25,80
and 100.

No odd characters in the UPS name that I am able to find.

What do you see when doing manual discovery for the APC Interface Type?

Does the Name of the UPS contain any quote (",') characters?
