Hi Paul,

To use 64 bit counters you need to use SNMPv2 or SNMPv3.

In SNMPv2 you will also need the net-snmp utilities (snmget, snmpwalk) 
installed.

Everything else is automatic.

If you have fping installed and with the correct permissions you will be able to
monitor hosts using it, if you don't put in a snmp comunity for those hosts you
will only see some basic interface types like Rechability and TCP ports.
