Hello, Awhile back I had inquired on this list about "silencing" an alarm that jffnms may give:
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=jffnms-users&m=109690179300298&w=2 Is there a way that a trigger/alarm can be forced to repeat? In our case, this would keep reminding the on-call person, say, hourly, to fix whatever's broken until the alarm is acknowledged. I use another system in this way, and would like to move entirely to JFFNMS in the not so distant future. Since everything's in mysql, theoretically a seperate paging system could check the events/alerts/whatever mysql table and do something based on acknowledged as well, but it seems that inside jffnms would be the ideal place for it. It seems that this would fit in the Actions page- something like a "repeat" option and a text input for minutes. Then, when the alarm is silenced in the JFF gui, it would STFU :) --falz ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
