I can't see why you don't have register globals set to on, I'm no php
guru. I can only suggest the normal route of investigation, do you have
more than one copy of php.ini? Have you restarted apache? Are there
any logs to look at?

what version of linux are you tring to install this on, I have it
running on Fedora Core 4, and there are no problems, but you do have to
install certain packages to get snmp/gd working.
