Hi,

We are now monitoring 278 hosts with 3,853 interfaces. Recently our server has become a little sluggish. The load average is over 5.00 on a 60 minute average, and just recently my seperate SQL server (that used to run at less than 1.00 load, is now up to 4.00 or higher).

The primary server is a P4/2.8ghz HT with 2GB of RAM.
The SQL server is a P4/2.8ghz HT with 1GB of RAM.

What are some things to check for performance? The biggest change is I recently added 6 new OIDs to track for about 2,000 of my interfaces.

Do I need a new server? What would you recommend (including CPU, RAM, disks, etc.).

Thanks,

Travis
