I have jffnms monitoring several Debian systems, but one of them keeps giving me SLA alerts, CPU > 80%. Looking at the graph for its CPU, it seems that it just isn't recording the idle time, so the math for the SLA is skewed.
When I look at the log for the poller, I can see that it does get a value back when it asks for idle time (cpu_idle_ticks). I also used snmpget to request that value myself and received a valid number. All of the rest of the machines, running the same software, all show their idle time correctly.
