For the ping to work you need to have a correct write community string.

and see that the poller does not grab any value for rtt. The graph that does display (with no values) for rtt does list the correct peer ip at the bottom. I did verify that fping is working.
fping is for the reachability interfaces, not the RTT/packet loss on an
interface.  It is also Cisco specific.
