Actually, I have figured out that my problem is not with the PHP configuration section but with the Apache for PHP5 section. If I rem out the additions to the httpd.conf file, Apache starts fine and I can pull up a web page.
The only lines I edit in the piece added to the end of the httpd.conf file are as follows; ServerAdmin [EMAIL PROTECTED] (replaced email address with mine) ServerName nms.your.domain.com (replaced with my jffnms server's dns name) Should I edit more or am I missing something. I am going through the setup guide for version 0.8.2. All the installs go okay and my Apache website is up initially. When I get to the configure PHP section, I put in my edits to the PHP.ini. Then when I restart Apache it fails with a generic message of "The requested operation failed." I suspect that it has something to do with the "extension_dir = c:\php\ext" line. I have tried "c:/php/ext" and a host of other variations with no success. Being that I am not an Apache or PHP techie, it is difficult for me to troubleshoot. Any help would be appreciated.
