Damian,
first check if you have SNMP agents at monitored hosts enabled, check version of SNMP, check community string and then manually add host you wish to monitor :-)
I have never used network discovery, since every admin should be aware what resources are managed :-)

Kind regards
Boris

Subject
[jffnms-users] Network Discovery Problem...

Hello everyone,

Newbie to the list and to jffnms in general, and have a (I'm sure)
relatively easy question for you all. I've installed jffnms on a Windows
machine with success, but am having problems with network discovery. I've
configured the /27 subnet I'd like the machine to scan, but unfortunately
it's not picking up any boxes from this. Just wondering where I go to
start to troubleshoot - machine config is as follows: -

Apache - 2.0.58
PHP - 5.0.3
MySQL - 4.1
nMap - 2.53.0.1
RRDTool - 1.0.49

Many thanks in advance,

Damian Bell
