Hey everyone,

I'm having a weird problem with one of our host that
JFFNMS is monitoring. I'll explain it the best I can.

I'm running JFFNMS on a windows box, and it's
monitoring 32 hosts with 380 interfaces. Everything
works great except for one host. The one problem host
is a Compaq Computer, running Windows 2000 Server.
JFFNMS is set to monitor 9 interfaces on it: Hard
Drive, Memory, Network Card, CPU, an Application we're
running, Two Fans, and Two Tempature systems. For a
long time it worked correctly. I'm not sure what's
happened now but it will first start by saying the
fans and tempature are down. If I tell JFFNMS not poll
those anymore, they go green and everything is ok.

The next time the poller runs though, it then says the
Application and network card are down. The weird thing
is if I tell them to go back to checking the fan and
the tempatures, the Application and Network card
show as running again. If I tell it not to check them
too, the CPU, Memory, and Hard Drive stay green, but
the hard drive and Memory aren't graphing. If I run a
manual scan for devices, they are all detected, and
show as "UP" in their status. Also, if I manually run
the poller on the host or a particular interface, they
will register as up too and go green, but the next
time the poller runs automatically, they say down
again.

Here's what I've tried to do to fix it without any
luck:

1. Deleted the problem interfaces, and re-added them.
2. Deleted the entire problem host and re-added it.
3. I formatted and reinstalled everything on the
JFFNMS box from stratch.
4. I tried the 0.83 release candidate version.
5. Double checked the SNMP on the problem host and
restarted the system.
6. Deleted the RRD files generated for the problem
host. If its any importance, they do get re-created.
7. Verified my scheduled tasks.

This is the only computer that is doing this out of
the 32 we're monitoring. Does anyone have any clues?
