I followed the instructions found here: http://jffnms.org/docs/triggers.html#id6
I pulled the plug on a system monitored by jffnms... I saw the alarm in the hosts and events page, but I never recieved an email. I dont recall telling jffnms where the smtp server was... I assumed it looked at localhost by default. I have sendmail running on this machine, and I verified it can relay from local host using the mail command.
Is there something else I should be looking at?
