I have several hosts being monitored and some have already experienced alerts for the interface protocol being down. I was wondering how to do the following:
- how do I clear the alerts? When I look at Hosts & Events, I see the affected machines in red. The machines are all fine, the downages were because of reboots, reconfigs, etc. Even those these machines are all doing ok, the red alert persists. When I look at the Alarm Editor, I see the duration for the alarm as: 2006-06-30 22:30:32 0000-00-00 00:00:00. So far, the only way I can clear them is to change the duration end time. Is there another way of clearing these alerts? Shouldn't they disappear once the device is polled again and found up?
- on Nagios, we have alerts sent out when a host goes down... and when the host comes back up, a 'host is back up' message goes out. Is there any way to have progressive alerts like that with jffnms?
many thanks
-mike
