You probably need to go to poller2.
Also I had to either not use the reachability interfaces or dramatically
change the settings to reduce number of pings and the max RTT. The
reachability interfaces are the slowest to poll by a long shot.

Make sure you have fast disks, RRDTool will punish your disks with a lot
of interfaces.  I would say fast disks are probably THE most important
thing to consider.

We changed from using a Dell SC420 with SATA to a DL380 with SCSI and
real RAID and it made a huge difference.
