Hi All...

i'm totally a newbie for this nm. I coming from a Nagios experience, and
i'm not totally satisfied. Nagios use
a lot of CPU and it giving back a lot of "service timed out" working
with apache server, for the network that
i will check it's really bad situation.

So, i will use JFFNMS on a about 200 Cisco boxes Network. I will check
the single box with the ping,
the WAN's and LAN's interfaces, and the BGP neighbors.

I will try to use on Windows 2003 Server, or Debian (linux) or Solaris 10.

In this moment i use it on my XP Professional home box. But i can't able
to use the snmp check, maybe
'cause i don't have an snmp agent on my box, but i can't find on the
istallation guide this.

The questions are:

1) Can i use in on Windows 2003 server? Some special configuration are
required ?

2) On Windows boxes i will use an snmp agent for to check Cisco's Boxes ?

3) Can i use it on Solaris 10 ?

4) Can i use it on a large network? (About 200 Cisco's boxes)

Thanx in advance for your patience and suggestions

Massimo
