Please check whether DB is running or not???? if not then
php-mysql package is missing..... try it as
yum install php-mysql
secondly, try to give permissions to /var/www/jffnms
/lib/api.inc.php or /op/jffnms/lib/api.inc.php
Chmod 775

Nothing gets saved...sounds like a register globals problem.
Does the setup page say you have this on?
Also perhaps the webserver does not have permissions to update the
config file.
