Hello! I've got a Cisco Catalyst 5500 switch that is constantly telling me it is down because some of the ports are not being used. Is there any way to monitor the availability via ping/port23 and graph the active ports without having to deal with alerts on the unused ports? I've tried unchecking the "check status" option on the interfaces but it doesn't seem to 'stick'. I'd appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thank you!
