If you can write it in a way rrdtool understands then you could do it.

I don't actually understand the difference between this and the normal
utilisation.  This is the way it currently works:
  - get the input bytes/second
  - multiply it by 8 to get bits/second
  - divide it by the link bandwidth and times 100 to get a percent

What's different to your utilisation? Either way, if I understand it or
not, if *you* do you can change the graphs.
