I just wanted to say thanks, again, to Craig, for this: 0.8.4 has a re-introduced bug for the traffic graph, remove the / before the colon : on the COMMENT lines in engine/graphs/traffic.inc.php I just had an older JFFNMS box crash and had a 64 bit 10.04 server doing syslogs sitting there. I decided to put it JFFNMS on this box and I couldn't get rrdtool-1.0.49 on there (something to do with 64-bit, I am sure). I have never been able to get >1.0.49 to work.. I realized today because of the 'colon' issue. I started by trying to 'fix' it with all the comments about putting the "\" in before the colon. Then I stumbled on the above quote from sometime in November of 2009. Ubuntu 10.04 installs the 0.8.4 version by default. So, hopefully, this helps someone with the dreaded "No graphs have been created yet" message for physical interfaces.
Thanks again Craig! I have my first JFFNMS with rrdtool 1.4.5.. and the client thinks the graphs are much 'prettier'.. his words. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ AppSumo Presents a FREE Video for the SourceForge Community by Eric Ries, the creator of the Lean Startup Methodology on "Lean Startup Secrets Revealed."
