That's really not a good way of adding interfaces. In fact it is so unused I forgot that "feature" was there until your email. The better way to get a new interface is to use manual autodiscovery OK, that sounds like a contradiction but here goes.
* In admin menu go to Hosts & Interfaces -> Hosts * On the left combo box for your host choose "Manual Discovery" or "Manual Discovery w/o Portscan" * Click the blue arrow to the right of the combo box * Wait for the list of interfaces to appear * click the left-most check box on the interfaces you want * Click "Add Marked Interfaces" button at the bottom. The manual/autodiscovery scripts also make sure you have all the correct hidden fields in place too, such as ifIndex on a normal SNMP index. - Craig -- Craig Small VK2XLZ http://enc.com.au/ csmall at : enc.com.au Debian GNU/Linux http://www.debian.org/ csmall at : debian.org GPG fingerprint: 5D2F B320 B825 D939 04D2 0519 3938 F96B DF50 FEA5 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF email is sponsosred by: Try Windows Azure free for 90 days Click Here http://p.sf.net/sfu/sfd2d-msazure _______________________________________________ jffnms-users mailing list jffnms-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jffnms-users
