Hi,

I just saw that AIX 5.3 introduced the feature to shrink JFS2 partitions. Are there plans to port this feature to Linux JFS2, too?

Apart from that AIX 5.3 also introduced NFSv4 ACLs on JFS2 alternatively to POSIX ACLs, which unfortunately are not quite ready in Linux. Very promissing is also the feature to have extended attributes (EAv2) of unlimited number and of up to 16TB each if JFS uses the new NFS4 ACL model. I hope Linux (and then Linux JFS) can catch up with this soon. I guess those v2 EAs cannot be achieved with the current ACL/EA model, can it?

Cheers
Bjoern
