Just reboot the machine and press "1" when terminal "RS/6000"-banner 
appears. You will be able then to mount the rootvg (root volume group) and 
start a shell on it if all things are going well.

If this breaks just use a AIX 5.x CD to boot into maintenance mode. Same as 
above, import the rootvg and you're ready to copy the data to another media.

Remember however, that this list is about JFS2 on Linux and this is not the 
same as JFS1 used in AIX4 and AIX5.x (32bit, as your 34H is 32bit).

Why does your 43H not boot? What's the last three-digit-bootnumber shown in 
the display?
