I'm a file system testing newbie, I have a question/doubt,please let me know if i'm wrong.
Do you think a tool, which uses output from "hdparm" command,to get hard drives maximum performance and compares it specific file system (say for example,"ext4 provides xx throughput against max. device throughput yy" ) would be more meaningful. Does using hdparm (or other device throughput related tools) for benchmarking will be useful? Thanks. -- Cheers, Lakshmipathi.G www.giis.co.in ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Verizon Developer Community Take advantage of Verizon's best-in-class app development support A streamlined, 14 day to market process makes app distribution fast and easy Join now and get one step closer to millions of Verizon customers http://p.sf.net/sfu/verizon-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Jfs-discussion mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jfs-discussion
