Okay. I found the source of the "numfree > numinos" problem, as well as a couple more minor problems. I'll follow up with three patches to fix the problems. The third one is the one causing this problem. I'm also pushing these patches upstream. Hopefully, resizing will be more stable from this point on. Thanks for your help!
