Ann,

I was hoping I was going to be able to report on a simple way to pin
Favorites in Quick Access directly from the search results bar, but I cannot
get NVDA to take focus out of the Cortana (what used to be windows search) edit
box where I type in Favorites in any way that I normally can do this, thus I
cannot use NumPad Star to right click on it.  So, now on to the slightly more
complicated way, but not horrible, that I'll step by step:Open File
Explorer.Navigate to C:\Users\{your account name or abbreviation here}.  I say
account name or abbreviation here because it could be either one depending on
whether your account is set up with a Microsoft account login versus a local
login.  This can also be affected by whether the account existed in an earlier
version of Windows prior to your running the Windows 10 Upgrade on a machine.
You can be guaranteed that the first few characters of the appropriate folder
should be recognizable based on your actual username for login. In the items
list for that folder you will find the good, old fashioned Favorites folder,
which contains IE Favorites as link shortcuts or in subfolders.  Navigate to it
and select it.Hit ALT+H+PI and that Favorites folder will now be displayed in
the Quick Access area of File Explorer any time you open it. (You can, of
course, choose to Unpin it from Quick Access at any time and it won't show up
there if you do).
