No surprise there. Depending on the machine there can be several shutdown restart sequences and Windows itself never comes up, but the install process picks up again (if nothing stalls). Since JAWS requires Windows to boot "all the way" to get JAWS running (or most of the way, I believe JAWS runs as a service but I haven't "gone digging under the hood" to this level recently). Brian
