Thanks Artur. It is crazy that that dialog does not always show up using
Jaws. I've seen that happen lots of times before the current versions
of Reader and Jaws. I've had to hunt for it many times over the last
few years.
I see they have slightly changed the name of the dialog.
Reading Untagged Document with Assistive Technology
And, yes. I just tested by alt tabbing away from the dialog and it is
not in focus when I alt tab back to Acrobat Reader DC.
However, I Press the Jaws to pc key and landed right on it this time.
But, then when I rout pc to jaws, it's still not in focus.Â
Had to right click something to focus it.
I just tested with NVDA and can't even get back to the dialog. It's
like it is in a sepperet window that is removed from the app switching
list when I alt tab away. I have no idea how to get back to it with NVDA.
Now I need to read the whole thread to see what else is being done to
fix this.

Hi,

I donât have any problems with the newest adobe reader.
And there is really a place where you shoulnâd alt+tab. That is
when you open a PDF file and Adobe Reader opens the dialog âhow to
read this PDF file. If you donât wait enouch and alt+tab avay
then you canât alt+tab back to this dialog. You have only two
possibilities wait and hope that this dialog moves into focus or
search it trough JAWS+f10 application list.
If you start alt+tabing then you get lost and cannâtfind the
dialog and cannât read the PDF file..
There is nothing to do with JAWS, Adobe made itâs software in such way.

Or like telling the same blind computer user to pick up a mouse and
will it to do what you think. Alt tabbing is as normal as
breathing. JB

simply do not ever alt tab.
Yeah, right.  This is akin to telling a computer user who can't see
the system tray to "simply do not ever breathe."
Oy!
