Kevin, You have to go in to either Control Panel->Default programs (which is the method I prefer, then use the "Set your default programs" link) or the Windows 10 System settings, Default Apps pane use it to set your default web browser to something other than Edge.
In my experience the easiest way to snag a screen shot is using ALT+PrtSc, then going in to the photo editor of your choice (I use MS-Paint for this simple function), paste the resulting capture and saving it. ALT+PrtSc is actually a "capture active window" function but can capture your whole screen if you have focus on the desktop at the time and several programs are open, too, then it snags everything that appears on the screen.
