Hi, all.
With the help of my sighted wife, my problem with accessing protected Word 2003 documents has been solved. As I suspected, the problem was not with my trust center settings, but was in another part of Word 2010 and Windows 7. My wife was able to click on the enabling editing button that came up when I tried to open the inaccessible files. This put us in another MS Word menu involving blocked file types. She un-checked the settings in that particular set of menu options, and now, my older Office 2003 Word files all open up with no problems. Once again, I wonder why this must now be so complicated, but at least I'm relieved that I can get to the needed files. I am a bit nervous about totally disabling the protected view options, so will just have to be very careful in the future regarding the many files that I have to work with in my various professional and personal computer applications. Thanks to everyone for your patience with this thread. Sincerely, Dr. Tom Behler from Michigan -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
