I had that same issue when I was using Hulu a while back. Haven't tried it
lately.

Does anyone find a set of video navigation controls when using Hulu? My
sighted daughter tells me the controls are there on the screen, but JAWS
does not find anything, at least nothing that is labeled correctly.
With this thought in mind, is there a way for me to change Internet Explorer
settings so that when I click on some video, the computer plays it through
Windows Media or Movie Player? I am assuming that with those two Microsoft
players, I would have access to play, pause, back up, forward, and so on.
Any ideas out there?
