I haven't tried the free Window-eyes offer yet, but I'm reading mixed
reviews on the various lists I'm on. Some people really love it, but
others are having major issues. I guess that's why I haven't tried it
yet. In other words, I don't think you're alone.

Just as a point of information with no judgment intended, I recently
purchased Office 2013 and thought I'd take advantage of the free Window
Eyes offer to take it for a test drive. Aside from the fact I found the
command structure rather confusing, window eyes consistently crashed my
laptop. This happened so often I decided to take it off my system and
won't be returning to it any time soon.
Your milage, as they say, may vary. But I'm curious to know if this
happened because the two screen readers were vying for the eloquence
synthesizer? Or is there some other inherent conflict between JFW and
WE?
I have since chosen to use NVDA as my backup screen reader for when
Jaws takes a dive.
Thoughts?
