Carlos,

Welcome to a good list. Your situation sounds very similar to mine, and we
are about the same age.

I used JAWS from around the year 2000 onward, and before that Window-Eyes. I
needed the technology when I was in my 40s. It's always been a great help to
have this capability to compete in the mainstream working world.

Subject: Introduction

Hello everyone,

I am new to this list, although I use Jaws since quite along time now. I am
60 years old and was born and live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. With my
increasing loss of sight due to Retinitis Pigmentosa, I finally reached the
point where I completely rely on Jaws both at the office and at home now.
The fact that I can use Jaws in a working environment gives me the
opportunity to dig deeper into the program, which really has so many
options, impossible of course to cover them all. One of its great features
for me is the possibility of using different languages, as I know Spanish,
German and English. Sometimes I also use a little Dutch .

I am very excited to share this list with other users from all over the
world, who will for sure be of great help to me and I sincerely hope that I
can humbly share my experiences and contribute my 2 cents to the list.

Kind regards from Buenos aires- Argentina
